Dear all,

in a striking address at the University of Sydney John Pilger roasts the US foreign policy 1945 ff, the nationwide systemic record of violence and the ideology of a messianic Americanism, claiming „a world substantially made over in [America’s] own image“ (as 1947 described in a series of National Security Council directives).
Similar to other globally wellknown writers like Pepe Escobar, Michel Chossudovsky, John Whitehead, Paul Craig Roberts etc. he’s warning the public of a presidency of Hillary Clinton who’s epitomising „the resilience and violence of a system whose vaunted „exceptionalism“ is totalitarian with an occasional liberal face“.

He finishes angry and troubled:

„What has happened to the great tradition of popular direct action, unfettered to parties? Where is the courage, imagination and commitment required to begin the long journey to a better, just and peaceful world? Where are the dissidents in art, film, the theatre, literature? Where are those who will shatter the silence?“
